The tourists glide by
Their heads to the sky
Making pirouettes of indecision
Their sounds full of candor
In the streets they meander

Immune to the thoughts of collision

Half a glass;” That was close”

There’s love in the air
as we see a pair
that give us a wave and a gesture
They’ll have more enjoyments
while sharing their moments
Than a casual photo can capture

A sip: ” Shared memories”

The weekdays do change
With the suits on the range
As the courthouse opens for battle
Defendants all dressed
With demeanor that’s stressed
And directed like uncertain cattle.

A swallow: “Remember that stress”

The louder stress grows
In cars when sound blows
Vibrations of cumulus thunder
Their ears just in tact
Ignoring the fact
They’ll miss those subtleties’ wonder

Sip “A poor trade off”

Teens speed down the street
Immune to the beat
Too loud to hear one another
In the same car I fear
Each phone to their ear
Was meant to talk to each other

Swallow “Oh technology”

The greatest of all
When we hear the call
of great friends that unload for asking
They share their lives
Of taxes and spies
We nod with love that is lasting

A sip: “An ear to listen”

How wise we must seem
to encourage their dream
Full of wisdom and question no wrong
That the thing we do best
Is to reflect and test
their answers they had right along

More wine; “A smile of understanding”
