A note from the publisher

Al Zagofsky
Carbon County Magazine publisher Al Zagofsky has published hundreds of articles and photos on life in Carbon County.

With this issue, Carbon County Magazine is one year old.

I'm so very pleased with the number of viewers and the wide variety of contributors.

For this issue, we received so many excellent community articles that ten are being published, instead of the usual six, with several others having to be put on the back burner.

Besides the stories that I've selected to reprise from my features as a correspondent for the Times News, I've included articles from both our regular contributors, such as Bruce Conrad, Roy Christman and Dear Suzi, and several new contributors, including Mike Stanley, Josephine Rhyder, and Elyse Kistler.

The format has been changed slightly to drop the tabbed folder metaphor. The new layout should make navigating the magazine more enjoyable.

Viewership continues to grow. I'm expecting over 4,000 people to either receive the magazine by e-mail or access it through a search engine. That's a lot of people in a small time.

Please have your friends and family click on the Subscribe button to know when each new edition is online.

Carbon County Magazine continues to be free of advertising. A "Donate" button has been added to the index page for those who would like to help underwrite the publication.
